This historical representation of Kuan Yin at ease was developed as a part of the goddess series begun c.2011. Her story is related to the southern China legend. She represents Avalokiteshvara, the merciful goddess of forgiveness.
The topknot and accessories are gold luster. This white stoneware piece was developed and completed in 2015 in the workshop of UM Professor Beth Lo at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT.
